Preserving Social Security

In this episode Max Richtman, President and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare talks about the future of Social Security.Social Security’s trust funds are set to run out by 2035, at which point only 80% of promised benefits will be payable. Richtman says the proposed Social Security 2100 Act can prevent that and extend the solvency of the program into the next century.He also talks about how important Social Security is to our local economy.
