Unforgettable Scene, Seen Through New Eyes

Physical evidence collected from a crime scene is crucial in investigating a homicide. But it becomes even more important when that case grows cold, as it's the only tangible connection investigators today have to the past. In the murder case of Catherine Blackburn, there is one crime scene that contained a lot of physical evidence. That evidence is still in the hands of the Albany Police Department and is in the process of getting retested using modern day techniques.

In this episode, we detail the horrific attack Kate endured and the actions taken by the killer before and after she was murdered.

We speak to forensic anthropologist Dr. Mercedes Fabien and forensic psychologist Dr. Chris Kunkle who bring their insight and perspective to Kate's case.
