Rain Gives Way to Capital Region's First Snowfall of the Season

We're expecting to see the season's first snow flakes Thursday evening. The heaviest rainfall will begin around 2pm and will turn to snow in the early evening hours, with Accuweather Meteorologists forecasting up to an inch in the immediate Capital Region and upwards of two to three inches in higher elevation areas.

The rain and snow will likely lead to some slick spots on the roads tonight into Friday morning's commute.

There's a chance of more snow next week, listen to WGY for the latest Accuweather forecast at the top and 30 minutes past the hour.
