First Major Snow Storm of the Season Impacts Capital Region

The Capital Region will not be exempt from winter weather expected to impact holiday travel for much of the nation. Accuweather Meteorologist Bill Deger says snow will arrive in the region late Sunday morning, accumulating 3-6 inches throughout the day. Snow will continue throughout the day on Monday into early Tuesday morning with total storm accumulations of 8-12 inches, while some locally higher amounts are likely.

Various watches and advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service for the Capital Region, Mohawk Valley, Mid Hudson Valley, North Country, Western NY, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and Central NY.
