Siena College announced Friday that former US Representative Chris Gibson will be returning to his alma mater as the college's 12th President.
The news comes after a months-long search to find a replacement for Siena's former president Brother Edward Coughlin, who died unexpectedly in July at the age of 71.
Gibson graduated from Siena in 1986 and will be the first non-Friar to lead the Loudonville school.
