For thousands in northern Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties, it was not exactly a typical Wednesday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed a 3.1 magnitude earthquake centered near South Glens Falls. No damage has been reported, but it rattled more than a few windows throughout the Capital Region. Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo tells WGY News the quake hit just before 6:45 am, and that's when the phones started ringing.
The video featured at the top of this article shows the quake occurring at the 6:43:51 mark on the bottom right corner of the video. The camera was located at Curtis Lumber in Ballston Spa.
