Capital Region Business Providing Extra Protection for Homemade Masks

When Governor Cuomo signed the executive order mandating New Yorkers wear face coverings, many businesses deemed essential were left scrambling trying to find masks. After one local business found a solution that worked for their employees and customers, they decided to give back to the community.

A. Johnson Plumbing & Heating began cutting down MERV-13 filters, which are designed to capture small particles in the air and inserting them into homemade cloth masks for their employees to wear.

Now, the company is offering the inserts to the community along with providing step-by-step instructions on how to make your own homemade cloth mask. The filters can also be sanitized.

Visit their website to request your free filter along with instructions on the sanitation process.
