Town of Colonie to Reopen Municipal Buildings

Colonie will begin to phase in the re-opening of the town's municipal buildings. Beginning Monday Town Hall, the Public Operations Center, and Colonie Senior Resources will be open to the public. The Public Safety Building on Wolf Road will remain open.

Also as of Monday, the town library will expand services to Monday through Friday from 11:00AM to 5:30PM. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time to check out materials and the computers may be used by appointment only.

Supervisor Paula Mahan has announced that as of Monday, June 15, 2020, the Town of Colonie will start to phase in the re-opening of the town’s municipal buildings.Supervisor Mahan stated,We have done a lot of work to get our town buildings ready to open to the public and hopefully feel some sense of normalcy. All of our health and safety measures are in place to protect our employees and the public we serve. As a community, we have done a great job in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus but we need to remain vigilant.”

Beginning Monday, the following buildings will be open to the public:

-Memorial Town Hall, 534 Loudon Road (Route 9)

-Public Operations Center, 347 Old Niskayuna Road

-Colonie Senior Resources, 12 Metro Park Road, Suite 103 (518) 459-5051

-Public Safety Building on Wolf Road has been open and will remain open

William K. Sanford Town Library - As of June 15, 2020, the library will be expanding services Monday through Friday from 11:00am – 5:30pm. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time to check out materials and the computers may be used by appointment only. We will continue to provide curbside pickup, and accept returns through our outside book drop at our front entrance. You may contact the Library at 518-458-9274.

Town Parks – The town parks remain open to the public to use the outdoor trails and facilities.There are no rentals being booked at this time.If there are any questions, you may contact The Crossings at (518) 438-5741 or the Mohawk River Park and Pool at (518) 783-2760.

The Pryun House – The Pryun House will remained closed and you may contact them at 518-810-0316 for questions.
