Troy Police say a man is dead following an incident at the Poestenkill Gorge.
The man was swimming in an unauthorized area with a friend Sunday afternoon when he went underwater and never resurfaced.
Emergency crews and the New York State Police dive team entered the water where they found the man's body.
The man's friend remained on the scene and wasn't hurt.
The name of the man who died hasn't been released, but police believe he's a young man between 18 and 25 years old.
