The Albany County Sheriffs Office is investigating an incident involving one of their own.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says an employee of his office was hanging out at his own home in the Town of New Scotland with his wife and four year old daughter last night when someone opened the front door to the house and threw a lit firework inside.
Apple says a rug caught on fire but they were able to put out the fire quickly before there was more damage.
Nobody was hurt.
Police are still investigating.
