Dueling protests got heated Thursday outside Coccadotts Cake Shop on Central Avenue in Colonie. At issue is the bakery's creation of a cake shaped like a red "Make America Great Again" hat last month.
Supporters of the right of Coccadotts to bake the cake were met by Black Lives Matter protesters as Colonie police officers and other law enforcement groups worked to keep the groups apart.
