National Grid customers could be digging deeper into their wallets to pay their gas and electric bills next year. The utility company is considering a rate hike that would add an average of $8.00 to a person's monthly bill.
National Grid had planned to increase rates earlier, but held off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest proposed increase would likely go into effect in July 2021.
