A former Schenectady police officer is in trouble with the law following a fiery crash in Rotterdam.
Officials say 46-year-old Joseph McCabe was drunk when he slammed his vehicle into a garage on Mariaville Road Sunday morning. The impact caused the garage to catch fire but McCabe wasn't hurt. He's now facing several charges including DWI and criminal mischief.
