Speed and alcohol are being called factors in a deadly weekend crash that happened in Schenectady County.
Rotterdam police say 31-year-old Oscar Lopez slammed his vehicle into one driven by 33-year-old Amanda Slaven near Hamburg Street and Chism Street yesterday. Slaven died at the scene while Lopez was airlifted to Albany Med for treatment. He's facing several charges including vehicular manslaughter and DWI.
