Democrats in the New York State Senate could end up winning an important political prize Tuesday.
They're looking to take control of two more seats in the legislative chamber, which would give them a supermajority. Should that happen, Democrats would be able to shape the redistricting process without the process potentially ending up in court. It would also give them the power to override any vetoes issued by fellow Democrat, Governor Cuomo.
