Governor Cuomo just announced new restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19.

Restaurants and bars will have to close by 10:00pm, as will gyms.

Additionally, private parties at private residences will be capped at 10 people.

Cuomo says these three factors have been determined to be the highest spreaders identified by contact tracing. The state currently has a 2.93% positivity rate and 21 people have passed away since yesterday. Over 16 hundred New Yorkers are currently hospitalized.

The new regulations go into effect this Friday at 10:00pm.
