Cashless tolling on the New York State Thruway will go live overnight Friday into Saturday.
Governor Cuomo says the conversion is a month ahead of schedule.
To increase efficiency and limit contact between drivers and poll workers, cash will no longer be accepted for toll payments. Also they will stop printing toll tickets.
Drivers are encouraged to have an E-ZPass. If you don't, cameras will take a picture of your license plate and the state will send you a bill.
