Albany County is taking a significant step towards stopping the spread of COVID-19 in schools.

County Executive Dan McCoy said Monday rapid coronavirus testing sites are being set up for students in grades kindergarten through 12th who have coronavirus symptoms. The county is working alongside the Whitney M. Young Junior Health Center to conduct the screenings. They're taking place at Albany High School and the Cornell Cooperative Extension site in Voorheesville.
