New York is preparing for potentially rough weather today as rain is set to roll into the area this morning.

The rain is supposed to start light and then pick up around lunch time, roughly two inches of precipitation could accumulate.

Winds could be anywhere from 20 to 55 miles per hour today.

Because of these conditions, Governor Cuomo is actually preparing state emergency services in case of severe weather in parts of the Capital Region and the Mid-Hudson, as well as Long Island.
