Nurses at Albany Medical Center are on strike Tuesday as negotiations on a new contract continue.
Their union has filed a complaint with Occupational Safety and Health Administration claiming the hospital isn't doing enough to protect nurses and patients from COVID-19. In a statement, Albany Med said the allegations are motivated by something other than a concern about safety. Officials also have a staffing plan in place.
