Number of COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations Hit New Highs in Capital Region

The number of people infected with COVID-19 and receiving medical care for the illness have hit new highs in the Capital Region.

The death toll has also increased by three after residents of Albany, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties passed away. Albany County continues to be the hotspot after reporting at least 100 new cases for the last eight days. Overall, there are 735 people infected locally, 17 more than the previous record set last week.
