Charge of Detaining & Delivering Mail Levied Against Schoharie County Man

A 24-year-old Schoharie County man has been charged with allegedly detaining and delaying United States mail from January through July of last year.

It happened when he worked as an employee of the United States Postal Service. The felony charge against Tanner Brown of Sharon Springs, carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The mail that was allegedly detained by Brown was intended to be delivered in Onondaga County between January 2nd and July 24th 2019.
