News 10 ABC

The person responsible for a shooting at Columbia High School back in 2004 is now a free man.

The state Department of Corrections says 33-year-old Jon Romano has been released on parole. Romano was 17-years-old when he fired a shotgun inside the East Greenbush school, hitting one teacher in the leg. Romano had been sentenced to spend up to 20 years behind bars but was let go early after completing several programs in prison.
