The Schenectady County Jail has been locked down due to a growing number of COVID-19 cases.

Sheriff Dominic Dagostino says two inmates and four corrections officers have contracted the illness recently. All of them have been placed in quarantine and are expected to make a full recovery. The sheriff says there's no word on what caused the outbreak, but believes it's possible the virus was spread by a guard. The lockdown is likely to remain in place for several days.
