Governor Cuomo has signed off on a bill putting tenant evictions on hold until May 1st.

The Senate and Assembly approved the measure Monday during a special session. Now, anyone who has experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 can't be removed from their home for the next few months. The legislation also protects most homeowners from having their credit negatively affected if they receive a stay on a mortgage foreclosure.
