State Police say the man responsible for causing a serious crash on I-890 a couple of days after Christmas has turned himself in.

Troopers say 38-year-old Colin Rochelle was driving the wrong way on I-890 back on December 28th and hit another driver head on between Exits 6 and 7 in Schenectady. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Brittnei McFadden, was flown to Albany Med to be treated for serious injuries.

Rochelle was taken to Ellis Hospital to be treated after the crash.

State Police say Rochelle turned himself in Friday, and that he was also previously convicted for DWI.

He faces several felony charges, including felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and aggravated vehicular assault.

Troopers say he was taken to Schenectady County Jail. He has yet to be arraigned.
