After a very brief decline, the number of new coronavirus cases is back on the rise in Albany County.
Officials announced 279 additional infections Thursday, ending a streak of three consecutive days where that number was around 200. The deaths of three more residents have also been connected to the virus, bringing that total over the last few months to 286. One bit of good news is hospitalizations are falling from their recent record high as is the number of people in intensive care.
