There's still a few days left in January, but the month has already become the deadliest of the COVID-19 pandemic in Albany County.

County Executive Dan McCoy says 69 residents have passed away, surpassing the previous record of 66 set just last month. Overall, 295 people in the county have died since last March. McCoy is urging people to remain vigilant about the threat the virus continues to pose and to take the proper steps to protect themselves.
