New Data Shows Spread of COVID-19 May be Slowing in Albany County

Some new data shows the spread of COVID-19 may finally be slowing down in Albany County.

There were only 84 new infections reported Monday, the smallest single-day total since November 29th. Hospitalizations are also holding steady at 143, down from a peak of 186 on January 19th. Sadly, two more residents have passed away after contracting the virus, bringing the county's death toll since the start of the pandemic to 317.
