Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy is issuing a warning about tainted drugs that have been circulating in the area lately.
Murphy says several recent overdoses and one death have been connected to fentanyl-laced cocaine and heroin. The drugs are described as having a purple or blue tint and may be referred to as blue heroin. Murphy says anyone who sees a person they think may have overdosed needs to call 911 immediately.
