Republicans in the New York State Assembly are calling for impeachment proceedings to begin against Governor Cuomo.

Minority Leader William Barclay said Monday that due to the growing number of scandals surrounding the governor, he should be removed from office. However, since Republicans are in the minority, they would need the support of Democrats to start the impeachment process. Several Democrats have already said the governor should step down, something he himself is refusing to do.
