Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is getting ready to make another run for Governor next year.

Astorino was the party's nominee in 2014. He lost his race to Governor Andrew Cuomo. He is telling donors that Cuomo can be beat because if he runs he will he will be hurt by both his nursing home and sexual harassment scandals. Some Republicans say Astorino is not the right candidate because he has lost two local races since 2014. One was his bid to reclaim the Westchester County Executive seat in 2017, and he lost again last year in a race to win the state Senate seat in the 40th district.
