Siena Poll: 50% say Governor Cuomo Should Not Resign

A new poll out from Siena College shows by a 50% to 35% margin, New Yorkers say Governor Cuomo should not resign from office amid the ongoing scandals he faces.

By 48% to 34%, those polled say Cuomo can effectively do his job as governor. About a third of voters say Cuomo has committed sexual harassment and a quarter say he has not. Responding voters are satisfied with the way Cuomo has addressed the allegations by 57% to 32%. Voters give Cuomo positive grades on four specifics related to the pandemic. However, on making COVID-related nursing home death data public, Cuomo gets a negative grade, 27% to 66%. The poll was conducted between Monday and Friday of last week.
