The New York State Department of Health is announcing revised guidelines for nursing homes.

Previously there was a 14-day ban on visitation if a resident or staffer contracted COVID-19, but that policy will be replaced. The new guidance allows for visitation at all times, with some exceptions for residents who aren't vaccinated in areas of high community spread or those with COVID-19 or being quarantined. The guidelines go into effect immediately.
