Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin announces he's running to be the Republican nominee for the Governor of New York in 2022.

Zeldin made the announcement on Fox and Friends.

Congressman Zeldin joins Lewis County Sheriff Mike Carpinelli, businessman Derrick Gibson, and possibly Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, in the race to challenge Governor Cuomo.

The Governor has been facing a lot of pressure of sexual misconduct allegations and his police keeping coronavirus patients in nursing homes and under reporting the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes across the state.
