A familiar face is returning to the Albany County Legislature to fill the spot left open by the resignation of George Langdon the fourth.
Richard Touchette was appointed Monday night to take Langdon's position after he stepped down for making homophobic remarks. Touchette was a member of the Legislature from 2013 until 2019 when he was defeated by Langdon. An election will be held in November to determine who will finish the rest of Langdon's term, which goes until 2023.
