Governor Cuomo says students in every New York school should be back in their classrooms come September.

For much of the current academic year, they've have had to learn online as part of an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But, the governor said Monday with the statewide infection rate dropping, it'll likely be safe for everyone to take classes in-person this Fall. When asked if schools will require people to be vaccinated against coronavirus, the governor pointed out the state can't legally make that decision since the vaccines are still only allowed for emergency use.
