Albany International Airport, HVCC Team Up to Train Future Aircraft Workers

Albany International Airport is teaming up with Hudson Valley Community College to train the next generation of aircraft workers.

On Thursday, the creation of the Aeronautical Technology Institute was announced, which will provide two-years of training for future technicians who could end up in jobs that pay as much as $65 per hour. The institute is going to be located in a 12,000 square foot hangar on airport property. Before the program begins, it has to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.
