Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins is one of four finalists to become the next police chief in Akron, Ohio.
Hawkins has been Albany's top police officer for almost three years. He helped Albany with several community policing programs and entered the job when tensions between police and community were running high. Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan says she has the best team in the business that receives job offers all the time.
