Members of the Mohonasen Board of Education are asking the state to lift a requirement that kids must wear a mask indoors at school.
The board says it has received complaints from parents who say it's been tough for their kids to have the facial coverings on when the weather is warm. School boards don't have the power to overrule any guidelines that are issued by the state Department of Health. There's no word on when or if the health department will respond to the request.
