Despite efforts from a bystander to save him, a man has drowned at Shepherd Park in Lake George. According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Saturday, just before 6 pm, the bystander saw a man who was struggling near two other individuals in the water. When the man went under the bystander swam in to try to save him. With the help of the others, the bystander was able to pull the victim from the water. The 65 year old man, who was from the Bronx, died several hours later at Glens Falls Hospital.
