Most of the COVID-19 restrictions put in place statewide to prevent the virus from spreading have now been lifted. In New York City Tuesday,
Governor Cuomo announced 70 % of people 18 and older have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and that life can return to normal for the first time since last year. While things like capacity limits, health screenings and cleaning protocols are no more, a state of emergency continues. There will also still be some safety guidelines in effect at places in such as schools and health care facilities.
