S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings are upgrading New York's credit outlook.
Governor Cuomo argues this is based off a decade of fiscal responsibility and a better-than-expected recovery post-pandemic. He also says that his administration will continue to work with the State Legislature in order to aid the recovery. S&P cited well funded state pensions and a diverse economy in making their announcement.
