Actress Allison Mack will be spending the next three years in prison for her involvement with the controversial sex cult NXIVM.

The 38-year-old was sentenced in a Brooklyn courtroom Wednesday and received a term far less than the 14 to 17-and-a-half years she was facing. Prosecutors asked for a reduced sentence to reward Mack for helping their investigations into NXIVM founder Keith Raniere and Seagrams' heiress Clare Bronfman who was the director of operations for the group. In court Wednesday, Mack expressed remorse and regret for her actions saying she knows that what she did can't be undone.
