Albany Medical Center nurses vote late Thursday to accept the agreement on a first labor contract.

This comes after more than three years of negotiations. The terms of the new labor agreement include annual raises for nurses, an increase in hourly compensation and a cap on health insurance premiums. There's also going to be a focus on making sure there are enough people on duty so patient care isn't compromised. Albany Med leaders are expected to outline further details at a press conference set for Friday.
