Kids who are attending summer school in New York State won't have to wear masks while in their classrooms.

The state Health Department says facial coverings are no longer required due to low rates of COVID-19 transmission. However, schools can still make it mandatory for masks to be worn. There's still no word yet on what the mask policy will be when the next academic year starts in September.
