Three gay members of the state assembly objecting to plans to put Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Thruway Service Areas.

The lawmakers object to the restaurant chain's past opposition to the rights of LGBTQ people. The company's charitable foundation had given money to religious organizations opposed to LGBTQ rights, but reportedly ended that donation model last year.

Chick-fil-A would be one of several restaurant chains opening locations in rest stops, which are about to be rebuilt or renovated.
