Hall of Fame horse trainer Bob Baffert's suspension by the New York Racing Association is being lifted.
A New York federal judge granted a temporary injunction against NYRA's suspension until Baffert's lawsuit against the organization is over. The judge said NYRA acted unconstitutionally by failing to let Baffert adequately respond to claims made against him after Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit failed a post race drug test. Baffert claims the colt's failed test for a steroid was due to a topical ointment, not an injection.
