Former Chief of Hudson And Village of Chatham Sentenced of Theft Charges

The former top cop for Hudson and the Village of Chatham is sentenced to community service.

Peter Volkmann avoided prison time after pleading guilty to stealing over $74,000 in state and local retirement funds. He also stole over $18,000 from the Village of Chatham by falsifying mileage vouchers. Volkmann must complete at least 100-hours of community service by next July, and forfeit his position as Chatham village's chief of police.
