New York State will be spending $ 15-million as part of a push to convince residents who aren't vaccinated against COVID-19 to get their shots.

Officials are going to focus their efforts on areas across the Empire State where immunization rates are currently low. The money will be given to groups in those communities in hopes they can persuade vaccine-hesitant people to protect themselves from the illness. A new ad has also been released urging residents to get themselves vaccinated.
